Recipe of the Month
Johnny Marzetti- Mac & Cheese with Ground Beef
- 1 pound Ground Beef
- 1 medium Onion -- diced
- 2 cloves garlic -- minced
- 1 can tomatoes, stewed
- 1 can tomato sauce
- 2 cups water
- 1 pinch red pepper flakes
- 3 tablespoons parsley flakes
- 1/2 teaspoon oregano
- 2 tablespoons Parmesan cheese
- to taste salt
- 1 cup macaroni, uncooked
- 1 1/2 cups cheddar cheese, sharp -- grated
In a large saucepan, brown ground beef, onion and garlic
Add tomatoes, tomato sauce, water, red pepper,oregano, cheese and salt
Cover and cook 10 minutes
Add uncooked macaroni and cook, covered for 10 minutes, stirring occasionally.
Put in a 13x9 inch baking pan
Sprinkle with both cheeses.
Cook until golden brown and bubbly at 350F for approximately 45 minutes
