With a European presence dating back over 35 years, David Michael & Co. aquired daroma S.A., a French flavor and natural color manufacturer, in 2000.

Marking the completion of its reorganization in 2005, David Michael & Co. renamed its European subsidiary - David Michael Europe S.A.S. The name more accurately reflects David Michael’s presence in the European Union and its commitment as a responsible, global, customer-focused supplier to the food and beverage industry.

David Michael Europe has significantly increased its technical and logistical resources. This, coupled with an aggressive focus on David Michael’s tradition of innovation, quality and excellent customer service, has transformed David Michael Europe into a leading world-class supplier of flavors and natural colors to the food and beverage industry.

David Michael Europe services food and beverage manufacturers throughout Europe and North Africa, and is AIB (American Institute of Baking) certified. Our specialties include vanilla, alcoholic beverage flavors and natural colors.

We are located in Valence, France, inside the Rhone Alps region, well-known for its local agriculture, including peaches and apricots, herbs, and essential oils, such as lavender. Our dynamic team includes local flavorists and colorists, application, sensory, regulatory, and analytical experts, as well as quality and production staff, who routinely interact with other David Michael facilities across the globe.
