Freeing the future by protecting it

Small enough to care. Big enough to make it happen. This credo is tied to our sustainability efforts as much as it is to our customer commitment.

At Tastepoint, we recognize and embrace our obligation of being a responsible corporate citizen. We strive to reduce negative impacts on our environment while increasing positive impacts on the lives of our employees, our customers, our suppliers and the communities in which we operate. We believe in promoting total awareness of the resources used in our operations and supply chain as well as resources regenerated through everyday activity and practices; in supporting sustainable agriculture, organic, and fair trade endeavors; and in advancing an ongoing evaluation to continuously strive for improvement of our sustainability efforts.

Some of our most enriching experiences are in the partnerships we have crafted between farmers, our clients and ourselves. In 2006, we achieved the first Fair Trade vanilla in the industry, which in turn helped our clients obtain Fair Trade certification for their products.

We also take pride in staying rooted in our local communities through our Corporate Citizenship Program, which focuses on community outreach services in our very own city of brotherly love, Philadelphia. From donating to the region’s largest food bank, Philabundance, to raising funds for local community gardens, we organize various charitable efforts on an ongoing basis throughout the year.

Helping to sustain our professional community is equally as important to us. We support numerous food science programs at area universities; promote employee engagement in industry organizations like FEMA (Flavor & Extract Manufacturers Association), IDFA (International Dairy Foods Association) and WFFC (Women in Flavor & Fragrance Commerce); and have long been involved with the IFT Foundation, a community of donors who support and promote service, education, and research that advance global access to safe and nutritious food.
